I'm not sure what is wrong with a gaming laptop, the thing cost more than a small house. Done so I can actually move from place to place with all my stuff and runs most games with about fps.
Also I suppose this is possible though I'm not really sure how to fix something like that. With the Intel graphics frame rate was forever poor and sound constantly repeated in short loops. That has never been a problem when using Nvidia graphics from a hard drive on that laptop, or my main PC which has been running Linux Steam and TF2 since Jan different account.
